Extruder operator

At Manitox, we specialise in film production in a constantly evolving environment. We are looking for a machine operator who enjoys a fast-paced environment, pays attention to detail, and gets a real sense of satisfaction when a machine produces a high-quality product using the parameters they have set.

What will a typical day be like for you here?

You will be responsible for operating and monitoring the machine in question, keeping an eye on the processes, checking quality, and working alongside a team where you can ask questions, learn and develop. 

Your responsibilities:

  • You will operate the extruder machines and carry out the replacement and adjustment of tools
  • You’ll prepare and then mix the main and additional ingredients
  • check the quality and weight of the coils produced during manufacture
  • In the event of a fault, you will rectify the production in accordance with the regulations
  • You handle and package semi-finished and finished products in accordance with the regulations

 

We’re looking for you if

  • you’ve got a good head for technical matters
  • you’re in good physical shape
  • you agree to work a 4-shift, 12-hour rota
  • Are you a team player?

 

It is an advantage if

  • Have you ever worked in the plastics industry?
  • Do you have any experience of extrusion?
  • you hold a forklift licence
  • you have a secondary school qualification
